The Charles and Margery Barancik Foundation has awarded more than $5 million in grants to local nonprofit organizations working in education, mental health, humanitarian causes, and the arts and culture, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports.
The seven 2024 grant recipients are Art Center Sarasota, Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida Inc.,Gross Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida, Legal Aid of Manasota, Teen Court of Sarasota, Easterseals Southwest Florida, and Jewish Family and Children's Services of the Suncoast.
The Community Foundation of Sarasota County has awarded the Venice Symphony a $40,000 grant for its Patriotic Pops concert in May 2024.
